Whiskey enthusiasts in Utah have reason to celebrate this August as the state prepares to release a limited allocation of premium and highly sought-after whiskeys. The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services (UDABS) has released the list of the latest collection of allocated whiskeys available at select state liquor stores beginning August 17th.
This month’s allocation features a carefully curated selection of rare and exclusive whiskeys from renowned distilleries across the country. Whiskey aficionados can look forward to a diverse range of flavors and styles, including bourbons, ryes, and wheated whiskeys.
Highlights of the August Allocation:
- Elijah Craig Rye Toasted Barrel: A new limited release expression of the famous Elijah Craig line. This time Heaven Hill begins with fully matured Elijah Craig Straight Rye Whiskey, which is dumped and then re-entered at barrel proof into a second, custom toasted new oak barrel.
- Heaven Hill Grain to Glass: Heaven Hill Distillery has launched its latest creation, Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Bourbon. This innovative release represents the distillery’s dedication to transparency and sustainability, offering bourbon enthusiasts a truly unique and authentic experience. Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Bourbon is crafted using locally sourced grains, all harvested within a 100-mile radius of the distillery. This approach ensures the highest quality ingredients while supporting local farmers and reducing the distillery’s environmental footprint.
- Assorted Buffalo Trace Bourbons: There will be many famous Buffalo Trace Brands that includes EH Taylor, Weller, Stagg, and Blantons.
How to Purchase:
Allocated whiskeys will be available at select Utah state liquor stores. Due to the limited quantities, customers are encouraged to visit their nearest participating store to secure their desired bottles. A full list of allocated whiskeys and participating locations can be found below.
